My thanks go to the people who are working so hard to achieve these transformations and to the people who donate money to help them. Everyone can help; volunteer at your local shelter, neuter your animal, report abuse to the authorities, help out a stray by taking it in or finding a new home. Lots of ways to help, so there is no need to be depressed.

I literally cried looking at this. Especially the last one. How could anyone do this to any animal?! But it’s truly noticeable that these animals lives have changed. If you look from their first picture to their second picture, the second picture looks like they are smiling

The photos were hard to look at, but at the same time, happiness filled my heart and soul after witnessing the transformation of these helpless dogs and cats, due to wonderful human beings that cared enough to give of themselves to these defenseless creatures. Thank God for pet adoptions and for people who rescue abandon animals.

Mixed bag of pics. Many of them very interesting.

Some folks in animal welfare really like to lay the guilt on heavy. I used to cringe at stuff like putting a sign on a cage saying this kitten has 1 day left. We never did that where I worked. We tried to make sure that adoptions happened because people wanted the animals, not because they felt guilty for failing to do so.

Rescues are definitely the way to go. It drives me nuts to see someone paying good money for some pure breed that is going to have health problems and behavioral issues, and who would have had a home anyway, when they could save a life and have good odds of a healthy and well adjusted animal.

Half-cocked, you went off.
so, how do you feel about hunting?

I think the anthropologist Marshal Sahlins got it right when he said the difference is a name. We don’t eat the ones we name.

this inspires instead of scaring. It shows what people’s money can do instead of making you feel bad about yourself. I love this.

wow, that last one was amazing! They are all amazing.

An animal saved is worth more than anything! I loved this!

I’m sure the person who posted this would be thrilled to see this turned into a debate over being “vegan” or not. This has NOTHING to do with that and everything to do with animals being abused and mistreated. DO YOU EAT CATS OR DOGS? No, STOP making everything so damn political and just APPRECIATE a post filled with hope for once.
Pigs are smart, but it depends on how you compare intelligence whether or not you say they are ‘smarter’ than dogs because you have to consider instincts with animals as well, and it’s hard to tell whether or not an animal does something out of understanding that you want them to/they want to, or just out of instinct. I’m not disagreeing with you, I just want to point out that you’d have a better argument if you left that part out.

The last dog isn’t even the same breed of dog…………………..

that’s great.. just flip the channel you ignorant worthless human being… just continue to watch your stupid sh*t on tv like nothing ever happened, right? no point in trying to help in ANY WAY AT ALL, don’t donate, don’t spread awareness, don’t watch how dogs suffer because no one helps them… just continue living ignorantly.

WHy that’s what humans do best. It’s depressing but not everyone can break from the herd. Nicely displayed though loved the page. =)

Does anyone know the name of the plant, vine or shrub that the 4th dog, top to bottom, is called?
Hugssnkisses110
incredible. This gives me both hope for the animals and the want to help them

I watch the shows and don’t turn the channel. It’s hard and it hurts. I used to donate but I have strong feelings about the ASPCA’s political affiliations, therefore, I do what I have always done. I volunteer at my local shelter. I don’t give money but I do donate food, blankets, litter and my time when I can. Each of my three dogs ( the oldest is 11) is rescued as are both of my cats. They are each important members of my family. You can turn the channel, just be grateful for your local shelter, the ASPCA and the people that are out there every day rescuing the animals that we love.

While a lot of these are very heartwarming and great to see, as far as healed animals go, there are maybe one or two that are not… real, I guess? As in, the very last one – those are two different dog breeds entirely. Still, though – always good to see when a damaged animal regains their health and mentality and finds a good, loving home.

What amazing work is done here. Truly amazing. Thank you so much for giving these guys a voice when they needed it the most. <3

Thank God for the people who care and shame on the people who treated these animals like this.

I could never understand how people can be so cruel….however this gives hope as it also shows the compassionate side of others….so glad to see that these helpless abused little creatures had a happy ending…some do not.

Thank you to all who made these transformations happen x
Also a Vegetarian
“Think, where do animals get those nutrients from?”
Those animals are herbivores, Humans, as previously stated are omnivores. So there is a huge difference in the diet of a cow that is getting all the required foods and nutrients and a human doing the same. I am not saying that we should all go out and eat a steak, but lord help me, its because of people like you that I am always hesitant to tell some one I am a vegetarian.

unfortunately, i cannot be as calm and rational as the commenteers so far.
The scum that do this to animals deserve to have their heads sawn off with the bluntest instrument to hand.
fortunately, there are(not enough) organizations like this who rescue, rehab. and re-home these mistreated, inocent animals.
I salute you. your contribution to our world is far underestimated.
Thank all goodness for these people
